Joan Burleson, age 83, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Joan graduated from Holly Pond High School in 1958. She had enjoyed her school years when she had been a cheerleader for the Broncos. She retired from FedEx, traveled to Germany with Friends of Frankweiler, and was a member of the Cullman Moose Lodge. She was a loving, classy, sassy, and fearless leader that inspired her children, grandchildren, friends and friends of family. She never met a stranger!
Joan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Larry Springer, and her grandchildren, Kasey and Kandace Coulter.
The family will receive friends at Moss Service Funeral Home on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The celebration of Joan’s life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oak Level cemetery.
The family asks that memorials please be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
