We bid farewell to Larry Gene Eason of Hampton, Virginia, born in Birmingham, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 16, 2024, at the age of 74. Larry Gene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia R. Gregory and Willie P. Eason; his grandparents, Eva and Luster Gregory; and his grandson Jayden Hilliard. He is survived by: his wife Gail Eason; his children, Jennifer Duncan (Marc), Michelle Walkup and Robert Walkup (Tina); his grandchildren, Tommy, Jacob, Tyler, Jonathan, Brandon, Kayla, Haleigh and Avery; his great grandchild Jensen; his cousins, Maxine Dean (Robert) and Gregory Otwell; and his pets, Zeke and Kade. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home (2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23666). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the same location. Larry was a passionate supporter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention; therefore the family asks in lieu of flowers please make donations to this organization.
