Funeral Service for Garlan A. Hood, age 90 of Cullman, will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Alton King officiating; burial at Cullman City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
Mr. Hood passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Woodland Village Health Care. He was born Saturday, July 15, 1933, to Sebern Wesley Hood and Eunice Hood.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Wife, Nellie Hood; daughter, Susan Jordan; brothers. Wesley Hood, Paul Hood and Lloyd Hood; sisters, Lorene Woods, Bernice Gann and Christine Thompson.
Survivors include his sisters, Wilma Jean Harris and Edith Turner; children, Karen Massengill, Michael Hood, Kathy Huddleston, Mary Allbritten, and Fred (Sherry) Bavar, Jr.; son in law, Rocky Jordan; grandchildren, Ronald Massengill Jr., Christopher (Allison) Massengill, Terry (Stacie) Huddleston, Brian Huddleston, Adam (Kathy) Bavar, Jennifer (Brad) Gee, Josh Allbritten, Richard (Andrea) Jordan and Amanda (Ben) Shockley; great grandchildren, Julene Massengill, Tyler, Jacob, Aydan and Paislie Huddleston, Max Bavar, Matthew (KaSarah) Nuss, Kyra Nuss, Chase and Trinity Jordan, Audrey, Sarah, Jay and Jackson Shockley; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
