Christopher Glenn Rhodes
Funeral services for Christopher Glenn Rhodes, originally of Good Hope, will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, at Mt. Joy Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from noon to 2 p.m. at Mt. Joy Baptist Church.
Mr. Rhodes was born in Birmingham, Alabama and passed away May 6, 2024 at Grandview Medical Center. Mr. Rhodes, a God-fearing man whose devotion to his faith was surpassed only by his love for his family. He was a beloved father and grandfather, whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of all who knew him. Christopher found solace and inspiration within the pages of his bible, drawing strength from its teachings throughout his life’s journey. Additionally, he had a passion for working-out and enjoyed strumming the strings of his guitar, sharing his love of music with those around him. Though he may have left this earthly realm, his legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Mr. Rhodes is survived by his children, Mary Sturgeon (Johnny), Christian Madison and Gloria Tucker; grandchildren, J. R. Sturgeon, Riley Sturgeon, Silas Sturgeon, Evelyn “Rosie” Sturgeon, Caleb Tucker, Gabriel Tucker, and Elisha Madison; mother, Patricia Tubbs-Rhodes; father, Jimmy Rhodes; siblings, Barry Rhodes (Denise), Laurie Holcombe (Paul); nieces and nephews, Matthew Rhodes, Ryan Rhodes, Timothy Holcombe, Sarah Holcombe.
