Shelba passed from this life at her residence early morning on April 18, 2024, with loving family members in attendance.
Those passing before her included her parents, Herman and Ethel McClendon Hogeland, and son, Richard Louie Fendley.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Richard Wayne Fendley, and children Sheila McDonald Sobotka, Donna (Robert) Burgess, Jerry (Sonja) Fendley, Terry (Janna) Fendley and Micheal (Sandy) McDonald; grandchildren Nathan (Donna) Burgess, Adam (Kelley) Burgess, Matthew (Hannah) Trimble, Sarah Miller, Amber (Landon) Jones, Paige (Thomas) Norwood, Brittany Stricklin, Savannah (Andrew) Cofer, W.L. (Kate) Fendley, Zachary (Sarah) McDonald, Shea (Austin) Tillman, Max Sobotka, Tyler McDonald, Sebastian Fendley, Seth (Margaret) Fendley, Sadie Fendley, and Noah Fendley; Brothers Neil (Ellen) Hogeland, Steve (Laurita) Hogeland, and sister, Shirley Hogeland Lamar; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mickie was a retired postal worker and businesswoman who loved her husband and extended family. She enjoyed travel, was a good cook and seamstress and will be greatly missed by the many who knew and loved her.
There will be a graveside service at Good Hope Cemetery at 5 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, April 23, 2024. Flowers can be delivered to Good Hope Baptist Church Arbors.
