Cullman County Sheriff’s Office arrest roundup:

April 3

Deputies arrested William Bennett Clark, 67, of Hanceville, on multiple outstanding warrants stemming from multiple incidents that occurred over the past several years. 

Clark is charged with second-degree stalking (warrant), public lewdness (warrant), trespassing (warrant) and trespassing (FTA).

April 4

Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the Alabama Highway 157 and U.S. Highway 31 intersection. The driver of the vehicle allegedly sped up and initially refused to stop.

During the pursuit, according to the CCSO, deputies witnessed items being thrown from the vehicle. 

The vehicle did stop after a short pursuit, and the items allegedly thrown out of the vehicle were recovered and identified as narcotics and paraphernalia.

Brandon Christopher Laney, 28, of Logan, was identified as the driver. Alyssa Gayle Bryant, 28, of Vinemont, and Timothy Alan Bryant, 57, of Moulton, were identified as the passengers. 

All three were placed under arrest and transported to the Cullman County Detention Center. Once there, more thorough searches were conducted, and Timothy Bryant was allegedly found to be in possession of additional narcotics.

Laney is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude and tampering with physical evidence.

Alyssa Bryant is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Timothy Bryant is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and promoting prison contraband.

Deputies arrested Donald Gerome Nugent, 53, of Toney, Alabama, on multiple outstanding warrants.

Nugent is charged with failure to register as a sex offender (probation violation),  indecent exposure (FTA) and trespassing (FTA).

April 5

Deputies responded to a residence in the Fairview area to follow up on reports of drug activity. 

Michelle Self, 41, of Cullman, was located at the residence in question.

Paraphernalia and narcotics were allegedly located inside the residence.

Self is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry said, “Our deputies at the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office have been extremely proactive in their work. Remaining diligent and getting these drugs off the street is a point of emphasis for the sheriff’s office. I am proud of the hard work and dedication all of our deputies continue to show.”
