CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Police Department is bringing back its community cookout for the first time since 2020.
The event will take place Saturday, April 20, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Cullman Housing Authority.
CPD Public Relations Officer Adam Clark said the event started at Nesmith Park around 2015 and was moved to the Festhalle. In 2020, the event was paused, and this is the first time the department has hosted it since.
“We are hosting the cookout this year at the Housing Authority behind the maintenance building,” Clark said. “We will have police vehicles on-site, motorcycles and hopefully a helicopter if weather permits. We would love to have everyone to come out and grab some lunch and visit with the department.”
Attendees can enjoy free hot dogs, chips and drinks. The Cullman Housing Authority is located at 408 Cleveland Ave. SW.
