David T Cole, age 81, of Cullman passed away on April 9, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba White Cole, parents, Taft and Addie Lee Cole, brother and sister-in-law, Steve Cole (Clara), and sister, Etta Cole Paul (Eddie). Survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Johnnie Cole (Barbara), sister and brother-in-law, Linda Cole LaQuaglia (Peter), many nieces and nephews, and beloved friends.
As a lifelong resident of Cullman, he was an employee with the State of Alabama and City of Cullman, from which he retired. David loved to spend his free time outdoors; he enjoyed fishing, sitting in his rocking chair on the porch, and going for walks. When he was not outside, you could find him sitting in his favorite blue recliner, watching old westerns, and eating his favorite foods from Golden Corral. No matter where he was, or what he was doing, you would always find David wearing one of his many Alabama hats. He loved to watch Alabama play football– Roll Tide!
Mr. Cole will be laid to rest at Mount Zion Methodist Church Cemetery, located at 17488 U.S. Highway 31 on April 16, at 1 p.m. during a graveside-only service. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the life of David T Cole, who will be missed dearly.
