HOLLY POND, Ala. — The Holly Pond Town Council on Monday passed a resolution proclaiming April Civitan Awareness Month in the town.
“As always, we really appreciate the Civitan Club in this community because they do so much for the community,” said Mayor Carla Hart, “not just help build things and do scholarships for children, just always working on a project to better Holly Pond and this area.”
Hart presented the proclamation to Holly Pond Junior Civitan Club Advisor Francine Morton and several members of the junior club.
Hart advised, “I hope more of the young ones join, because they’re our future, even here with this school. Like I said, kudos to the staff: the principals, teachers, everyone, because this is our future.”
