HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The City of Hanceville invites residents to participate in the 2024 Spring Clean-up, with citywide yard sales April 19-20, followed by a free landfill pickup week April 22-25.
Yard sales: April 19-20
Kickstarting the event, residents can hold yard sales, no permit required, providing a perfect opportunity for residents to declutter their homes and enjoy a weekend of treasure hunting. This is a great chance to repurpose and rehome items that are too good to throw away.
Free landfill pickup week: April 22-25
Residents are encouraged to place their unwanted items out by 6 a.m. on April 22 for collection. This initiative provides an excellent opportunity for residents to dispose of larger items that are not typically collected during regular trash services.
However, it’s important to note that not all items can be accepted for the landfill pickup. Items that will not be accepted include household garbage, batteries, gas tanks, tires, paint, shingles and hazardous materials.
