CULLMAN, Ala. – TheraPlay Pediatric Sensory Gym is hosting a unique Easter celebration tailored to meet the needs of individuals with varying abilities and sensory sensitivities. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., this sensory-friendly Easter event will take place at the Field of Miracles, located at 1630 Field of Miracles Dr. SW.
Unlike traditional Easter events, this gathering is designed to ensure that guests of all ages, regardless of their abilities, can join in the fun. The event will feature traditional Easter egg hunts alongside a variety of activities specifically chosen to be inclusive and accessible. Attendees can look forward to games, bounce houses, temporary tattoos and giveaways, all generously donated by local businesses.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and TheraPlay Clinical Manager Tess Morris emphasized the importance of the event, saying, “This event is important in that we are able to serve and minister to our community by providing a fun event while accommodating those with special needs and varying abilities. We want to provide a positive experience for these families and create an enjoyable night for all ages and all abilities.”
Open to the entire community and completely free of charge, this event aims to offer a positive and inclusive experience for families with special needs and varying abilities, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the Easter festivities in a comfortable and supportive environment.
