Lonnie Gable Jr., age 87 passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024. Lonnie was born Thursday, Aug 27, 1936 in Cullman, Alabama to the late Lonnie and Ethel Freeman Gable.
Lonnie enjoyed bowling, fishing, rabbit hunting and later going to the Y to workout. Bro. Lonnie accepted the Lord at the age of 16, he worked for American Standard before he became pastor in Dayton, Kentucky (5) years; Hazard, Kentucky (5 years) then on to Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky before Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, Broadmoor Church of God in Nashville and semi retiring at White House Church of God in White House, Tennessee.
Bro. Lonnie is survived by his wife of 69 years, Patricia Hall Gable; children, Teresa (Jim) Tombs, Gary (Elke) Gable and Mike (Trina) Gable; sister, Betty Johnson; grandchildren, Adam, Justin (Lauren), Christiana, Emily, Sarah, Jacob (Danielle), Austin, Addison, Sophia and great-grandchild, Norah.
A visitation for Lonnie will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 4 p.m. in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072
A visitation will also be held Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home 1901 2nd Avenue NW, Cullman, Alabama 35055. Graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Mount Zion Cemetery in Cullman.
