CULLMAN, Ala. – Looking for a job where you can be the professional you want to be? Cullman City Schools is hosting a job fair at Cullman High School on March 21 for applicants interested in several different fields across the district.

The system is seeking job seekers for positions including certified teachers, cafeteria workers, support personnel and clerical personnel. The job fair will take place on March 21, 2024, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. It will be held inside Tillman Hall at Cullman High School, located at 510 13th St, NE.

“In previous years we invested in attending job fairs in the surrounding areas with little success. This year, we are hosting our own job fair so we can involve all administrators and zero in on qualified applicants who are ready to join one of the best school systems in Alabama,” Cullman City Schools Superintendent Kyle Kallhoff said. “We are always seeking the best educators and employees to meet the needs of our students, families and schools.”

Each school in the system will have an informational table available for potential future employees to visit at the fair, with current employees available to answer any questions and share specific details about their campuses. Cullman City Schools campuses include Cullman City Primary School, East Elementary School, West Elementary School, Cullman Middle School and Cullman High School. The Central Office will also have a table for applicants to get information on the application process and required certifications for applicable positions.

Benefits available to all employees include a $15,000 life insurance policy provided by the school system and a $15,000  accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance provided by the school system. There are also three additional personal days in addition to the two provided by the state (five days total), and teachers are paid higher than the State matrix.

Teachers with National Board Certification receive up to $5,000 additional pay from the school system plus another $5,000 from the State of Alabama. The system also provides professional coaching and reimbursement of fees for obtaining National Board Certification. Cullman City Schools is one of just four school systems in Alabama in which at least 20% of teachers are National Board Certified.

Children of employees who live out of district can attend Cullman City Schools tuition free. There are also opportunities to earn additional funds through after-school tutoring, homebound teaching and multiple athletic and academic supplements.

Cullman City Schools does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age in its programs and activities.
