Marjorie F. Chitty of Cullman passed away on March 7, 2024 at the age of 87. She is preceded in death by: Sons: William G. Chitty Jr. and Steven Gerald Chitty, Grandsons: Brandon Lee Smith, Christopher Steven Chitty, Brother: Larry McCoy Wood, Sister: Anne Wood Ackerman, Parents: Leonard McCoy and Grace Faye Wood.
Our precious mother was welcomed into the gates of Heaven on March 7, 2024. She was an adoring daughter, sister, mother and friend. She was a beloved member of East Side Baptist Church in Cullman Alabama. She loved her family, friends and her church family.
Her favorite pastimes were working with her flowers, doing her search word books along with watching Nascar and anything Auburn. She had an infectious smile and a contagious laugh and was generally the life of the party. She was loved fiercely by her family and will be missed beyond measure.
She is survived by: Daughters: Ladonna Chitty Cushman, Delores Anne Chitty, Tammy Marie Chitty Crow, Sister: Janat (Willie) Carroll, Daughters-In-Law: Katie Chitty, Lisa Chitty, Grandchildren: Nicole Cushman Brooks, Patrick (Ashley) Chitty, Candice Cushman (Matt) Kontzen, David (Jean) Chitty, Great Grandchildren: Charli Brooks, Keaton Kontzen, Kash Kontzen, Sarah Kate Chitty, Coleman Chitty, Uncle: Mark (Carol) Jones, Nieces and Nephews: Vince (Teresa) Carroll, Belinda Fay Trost, Chris (Judy) Best, Catherine Ackerman Farrell, Becky Ackerman Longfellow, Bobby (Beth) Nicholson, Stacey (James) Bearden, Cole (Kay) Chitty, Lisa Chitty (Robert) McCorkle, Chuck Hines.
Funeral services are Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 4 p.m. at East Side Baptist Church with interment following services in Cullman City Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request any donation of remembrance be made to East Side Baptist Church in Cullman Alabama.
