Wanda Joyce Morton, 55, of Cullman, Alabama, passed peacefully from this world on Feb. 28, 2024. Wanda was welcomed into heaven by her loving Father.
Wanda was born in Blount County, Alabama, on Aug. 10, 1968, to Charles Edgar and Jettie Corbin Johnson.
Wanda received Christ Jesus as her Savior, and was baptized, at a young age while attending Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. As an adult, Wanda enjoyed the fellowship of her fellow believers at Liberty Church in Arab, Alabama.
Wanda enjoyed life. She loved to dance, listen to country music, and maintained a beautiful garden before she fell ill. While her passing brings great sadness to many, there is joy in knowing that Wanda’s suffering has ended and that she is now in the presence of her Heavenly Father.
Ms. Morton is preceded in death by her father, Charles Edgar Johnson and a son, Nathan Lee Morton.
Those surviving Ms. Morton includes her mother, Jettie Johnson; children, Chris Bell (Nikki), Dale Ray Morton, Melissa Morton; brother, Charles Ray Johnson; sister, Shirley Ann Selvage; grandchildren, Karisa, and Anthony; nephew, Richard Lynn Clinton; niece, Angela Hayes; and sister-in-law, Margaret Eddie.
