Graveside service for Vetra Pearl Jackson, age 97, of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 at Cullman Heritage Cemetery with Bro. Steton Hayes officiating; burial at Cullman Heritage Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jackson passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024. She was born Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1926 in, AL to Andrew Jackson Stewart and Lucy Ann Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Cebron Jackson, Sr.; sons-in-law, Wayne Abbott and James Edward Tankersley; grandson, John Bradly Abbott, great-grandchild, Kenzie Faith Gugleman, sisters, Bertha Auston, Opal Grimmett, Jewel Skinner and Ruby Dye; and brother, Jack Stewart.
Survivors include her son, Johnny (Doneva) Jackson, daughters, Regina (Patrick) Holmes, Shirley Abbott, Elaine Tankersley, Kathy Longenecker; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great-grandchildren.
