CULLMAN, Ala. – Members of the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce made their way to The National for the Chamber’s monthly mixer – Business After Hours – Monday evening. The mixer is typically sponsored by a member business, and this month it was longtime local company McGriff Tire & Service. The monthly event allows the professional community to come together and mingle.
Chamber President Joey Orr and her staff welcomed attendees, greeted newcomers and handed out coveted door prizes donated by local businesses. Attendees were asked to drop a business card into a bowl upon arrival, and cards were drawn for prizes. Gift bags included a $100 Carlton’s Italian gift card as well as gift cards from The Corner Soak & Spa and Pierce & Petal. Other prizes included a Valentine’s Day-themed basket and two custom Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce-branded YETI tumblers. The drawings took place throughout the night, with Orr pausing the live music provided by Chad Steed Music to announce the lucky member each time.
“We love events like this; you get to know some good people and good businesses that make up our great community,” said Orr. “Make your way around the room and meet some new folks tonight.”
Guests enjoyed a buffet of sandwiches, pizza, assorted meats and cheeses and The National’s often raved-about pimento cheese, along with specialty cocktails and craft beer.
