HANCEVILLE, Ala. – As the weather warms up and spring makes its way to Alabama, several communities in Cullman are gearing up for fun festivals and family events. Hanceville is set to host its seventh annual Irish Festival on Saturday, March 16, and is currently accepting vendors and sponsors for what it hopes will be the biggest and best yet.

The Hanceville Irish Festival is a chance to join in on some family friendly Saint Paddy’s Day fun and offers everything you would expect of an outdoor festival: inflatables and games for the kiddos, a wide selection of local artisans and vendors to shop with and an alley packed with food trucks dishing up Irish faves. Local entertainers and musicians will be working the stage with tunes to make you want to dance a jig.

Festival organizer and member of Friends of the Festival, Nolan Bradford, spoke with The Cullman Tribune, sharing excitement at the growth the festival has enjoyed year after year, and emphasized the impact that festivals and events like this have on the community of Hanceville at large.

“This is our seventh year, and the festival continues to grow each year,” he said, highlighting the economic opportunity it brings to a city like Hanceville. “Events like this will help to continue the revitalization of our downtown, help the city to grow and attract new businesses and families to our area.”

Friends of the Festival is currently accepting vendors and sponsors for the seventh annual Hanceville Irish Festival. The festival is set for Saturday, March 16, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Applications can be found on the Hanceville Irish Festival Facebook page at www.facebook.com/hancevilleirishfest.
