Funeral service for Linda Jean Walmsley, age 78, of Cullman, will be Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024 at 12 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home chapel, with Bro. Chris Hargrove and Bro. Tim Dubberly officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Etha Baptist Cemetery following the funeral service on Tuesday.

Mrs. Walmsley was born May 21, 1945, to William Comer Smith and Vivian Denney Smith. She passed from this life on Jan. 27, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Sanford Smith.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Dwight Walmsley; two sons, Kevin Walmsley (Dianna), Carl Walmsley (Janet); one daughter, Vanissa Hargrove (Chris); one sister, Barbara Jenkins; grandchildren, Cody Walmsley (Katherine), Cylie Pugh (Josh), Madison Walmsley, Lily Grace Walmsley, Micheal Moran, Kelsey Moran; great-grandchildren, Neveah Pugh, and Logan Pugh; and a host of family and friends.
Linda is described by her family as loving, caring, and fun. She loved to sew, cook, can, and garden. She loved spending time with her grandkids and loved to spoil them. She loved to boss Dwight around and tell him how to drive. She was a faithful member of Refuge Church of God and she loved her Lord most of all. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
