William “Bill” Lay, 82, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024. Bill was born in California on Dec. 3, 1941 to James Ted and Jewell Kelly Lay.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024 at 3 p.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church with Dr. David Chambers and Pastor Jason Vincent officiating. Interment will follow services in Center Grove Cemetery. Bill will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024 at Moss Service Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Survivors are: Wife: Elna Jo Lay, Daughter: Deresa Ball of Cullman, Son: Lance (Rachael) Lay of Cullman, Sister: Laverne Roberts of Decatur, Brothers: Terry (Brenda) Lay of Hartselle, Ricky (Shelia) Lay of Cullman, Roger Lay and friend Lois Lay of Cullman, Brothers-In-Law and Sisters-In Law: Rayford and Brenda Ashley, Carolyn Ashley, Jacky and Patricia Yeager, Grandchildren: Katie Ball, Tyler Ball, Ashlynn Allcorn, Jon Allcorn, Chase Allcorn, Bryant Davis, and other family and many friends.
