From a game-winning field goal to a career-long touchdown grab, it was a Christmas weekend to remember for some of Auburn’s former players in the NFL.

See who all shined in this week’s Auburn Made NFL rundown.

BEST OF WEEK 16

Derrick Brown, DT, Carolina Panthers

Brown once again led the Panthers’ defense with a PFF grade of 89.9 following a nine-tackle performance against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. It was Brown’s third game with nine or more tackles on the season, including two in the last three weeks. With 88 tackles on the season, he’s well surpassed his single-season high set last year (67). He received high praise from Green Bay assistant head coach Rich Bisaccia after Sunday’s game.

Anders Carlson, K, Green Bay Packers

You can add game-winning field goal to the list of accomplishments Carlson has achieved in his rookie year. On Sunday, with 22 seconds left, Carlson drilled a 32-yard field goal to put the Packers ahead for good and lead them to a 33-30 win over the Carolina Panthers. The rookie also connected on a career-long field goal earlier in the game, making one from 53 yards out. It was his third field goal of 50-plus yards on the season.

Marlon Davidson, DL, Tennessee Titans

After being signed from the practice squad Friday, Davidson made his second career NFL start Sunday and made a clutch tackle for loss in the closing minutes. With the Titans clinging to a 4-point lead and Seattle facing second-and-goal from the 2-yard line, Davidson came through untouched and smashed the running back for a loss. It was one of two tackles on the day for Davidson who finished with a PFF grade of 73.4.

Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants

Going back to his days in college, Slayton has always been able to take the top off a defense. He did it again Monday, getting behind the Philadelphia defense and hauling in a 69-yard touchdown grab to make it a one-score game in the fourth quarter. It was a new career long catch for Slayton who is now in his fifth year in the NFL. He finished the day with three catches for 90 yards, leading the team in receiving for the second straight week.
