Roy Wayne Stevenson, 62, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on Thursday morning, Dec. 14, 2023. Mr. Stevenson was born in Booneville, Mississippi, to James B. and Annie Kathryn Davis Stevenson on Dec. 21, 1960.
Roy and Edith decided to leave Mississippi and found themselves in Alabama. They fell in love with the area and decided to make it their home. They married here and over the years they were blessed with a beautiful a family. Roy was a poultry farmer and he worked in the industry for the past thirty-two years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling when he had the time. Roy was a wonderful husband to his wife, Edith, of forty-four years and was a loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren and he will be missed greatly.
Mr. Stevenson is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers and sister.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Moss Stevenson; children Thomas Stevenson (Chariti), James Stevenson (Teryn), Chancey Stevenson (Anthony); and his grandchildren, Zoi Stevenson, Troy Stevenson, and Nova Stevenson.
Funeral services for Mr. Stevenson will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Andy Cofer officiating. Friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation prior to services, beginning at 12 p.m. and concluding when services begin. Burial will follow services in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
