CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Regional Foundation Dr. Herman C. Ensor Lights of Love Ceremony will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at St. John Evangelical Protestant Church’s Christ Hall.
Giving a gift of love for $20, $40, $60 or more places a light on the Christmas tree at Cullman Regional as a tribute to someone special. These tax-deductible gifts help support the Foundation’s mission of advancing health care services in the community.
Special acknowledgement cards are sent to those who have been honored and to the families of those being remembered.
“Special music during the program will be provided by Daystar Praise Team at which time individuals will be recognized,” said Maria Stanford, Cullman Regional Foundation executive director. “This event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend.”
All community members and contributors are invited to the Dec.12 event for the presentation of the names of those being recognized this year. The program will also include special Christmas music by area artists.
This year’s event will be dedicated to the memory of Cullman Regional Hospice patients and a special honor to Danny McAfee and his family. McAfee was a longstanding Foundation board member and was a great example of what it means to be a servant leader.
Cullman Regional Foundation President Emily Niezer Johnston remembered McAfee by saying, “The level of his commitment to the mission of the Cullman Regional Foundation is unsurpassed. He cared about our community and the citizens who make our community the success it is today. He spent countless hours working to improve the lives of others.”
Donations may be contributed throughout the entire holiday season and gifts received by Dec. 11 will be included in the special ceremony. Contributions may be made in memory or in honor of someone special.
