Obituary: Tammy Kay Sanford

Tammy Kay Sanford, born Aug. 22, 1963, went to her Heavenly home on Nov. 6, 2023 while residing in Honey Grove, Texas.

A memorial service will be held on Dec. 2, 2023 at Temple Baptist Church Fairview campus, located at 8701 Alabama Highway 69 Cullman, Alabama 35058. The family will begin welcoming guests at 1 p.m., with services to begin at 2 p.m.

She will be laid to rest at Prospect Church of Christ cemetery located at 10430 County Road 222, Logan, AL. 35098.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Sanford.

She is survived by her father, Ray (Hazel) Sanford, mother Jo Stewart, brothers Clyde Sanford, Brian (Rachel) Sanford, Roger Paul (Wanda) McBrair, and sisters Diane Johns, Linda Arndt, and Teresa Arndt.

She was a loving mother to her two sons, Jonathan (Amanda) Hamby, and David (Stephanie) Hamby. She will always be remembered for being a devoted Meeme to her eight grandchildren, Gracie (Patrick) Hamby, Sierra (Trey) Hamby, Eric, Johnathan, Joseph, and Rachelle Hamby, Meagan Runkel, and Malachi (Hannah) Runkel, as well as her great grandchildren Oakley, Oliver, Marley, and Maggie.
She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to express their extreme gratitude for the staff of Versatile Industries in Paris, Texas, as well as the Paris Regional Medical Center ICU staff. Special thanks to Mark Henry Brauch (Sparky), Anita Partain, and the Child Development Center family.
