Charles Baker Davis passed away at home on Nov. 20, 2023 after a three-year battle with severe COPD. He was born July 8, 1949 to Walter Reeder Davis and Vera Baker Davis.
Known as Charlie to many of his friends, he was a 1967 graduate of Cullman High School. He then attended Jacksonville State University where he majored in business administration. He worked three years as a payroll clerk and bookkeeper for C.L. Hanks Construction, then spent over thirty years as a production scheduler at Nicholson File Company before retiring.
Charles enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was once an avid golfer and went on many golfing trips and deep sea fishing trips with friends. His biggest regret the last few years was not being able to mow his yard or wash his car and truck, activities which he enjoyed.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jan Davis Cole. He is survived by his niece, Lori Cole.
A visitation for Charles will be held Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd Avenue NW, Cullman, AL 35055. A funeral service will occur Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel, 1901 2nd Avenue NW, Cullman, AL 35055. An interment will occur Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 at Cullman City Cemetery, 812 9th Street SW, Cullman, AL 35055.
