Rachel Marie Mayhall, age 68, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023 in Alamogordo, New Mexico at the home of her brother, August Mayhall. Rachel was born on Jan. 21, 1955 in Cullman, Alabama to George E. and Patricia (Grace Heinl) Mayhall.
Rachel is survived by her brother August Mayhall (Virginia) of Alamogordo, three nephews: Jonathan Basinger (Stacy) and George Griffin of Cullman, and Adam Mayhall of Alamogordo; two nieces Beth Chamblee-Fornes (John) of Cullman, and Amber Mayhall of Alamogordo, and two great-nephews; August J. and Tate Basinger, and one-great niece Karys Basinger.
Rachel was preceded in death by her father and mother, two brothers; George (Sonny) and Robert David, and one sister, Gracie (Lisa) Griffin.
Funeral services will be at Moss Funeral Home, Cullman, Alabama. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 24, 2023 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Cullman City Cemetery.
