Danny Elwin McAfee was born Oct. 6, 1948 in Cullman, Alabama. He passed away suddenly on Oct. 30, 2023 in Bron, France while vacationing with his wife, Deborah, and close friends.
Visitation for Danny will be on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. The visitation and memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Cullman. A burial service will follow at a later date.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leldon Dewey McAfee and Melva Hancock McAfee; and his brother, Terry Alan McAfee. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Edge McAfee; daughters, Amy McAfee Wood, Joy McAfee Howard (John A. Howard, Jr.) and Kelly McAfee Herndon (Matthew Bryant Herndon); grandchildren, Olivia Rose Wood, Nicholas Lee Wood, Alexander Ross Wood, Wilson Walker Wood, Ann Daniels Howard, John Allen Howard III, Oliver McAfee Howard, Molly Roselle Herndon, Lucy Marie Herndon and Maryann Eloise Herndon; brothers Dwayne L. McAfee (Sally McAfee) and Phillip Craig McAfee (Angelia McAfee); nieces and nephews, Matt McAfee, Mark McAfee, Elizabeth McAfee, Jason McAfee and Jake McAfee.
