Kelly Lynette Payne, age 47, of Addison, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023.
She was born Oct. 9, 1976 to Bobby and Shirley Payne. Kelly loved her family and friends. She especially loved her boys unconditionally and looked after her great nieces and nephews as if they were her own.
Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where the service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Houston Cemetery. Brother Kenny Sudduth and Brandon Denson will officiate.
Kelly is survived by her love, Chris Melson; sons, Trent Payne and Spencer (Leonard) Lee; bonus daughters, Destiny (Isaac) Harbison) and Christa Melson; mother, Shirley Ratliff Payne; brothers, Robert Payne and Luther “Luke” Payne; sister, Angelia (Scott) Clark; nieces, Tiffany (Matthew) Smothers, Donna Payne, Shania Payne, Heather (Brandon) Denson, and Bryanna (Cameron) Hunter; nephews, Jeremy (Tricia) Payne and Justin (Jami) Moses; a host of great nieces and nephews, and best friends, Connie Cousins and Amanda Racer.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Edward Payne; sister, Tina Payne; aunts, Marie (Charlie) Gurganus, Louise (Travis) Butler, and Virginia (Horace) McClellan; and uncle, D.C. (Ona Mae) Payne.
