Graveside service for Samuel David Mooney Jr., age 82, of Vinemont, will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, at Flint Creek Cemetery with Ervin Mooney officiating.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Mr. Mooney passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at his residence. He was born July 4, 1941, in Tennessee to Samuel D. Mooney Sr. and Linda Ary Mooney.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Blain Mooney; parents; brothers, General Mooney, Harvey Mooney, and John Helms; and sisters, Luciell Hock, Susie Danecker, Celia Carden, and Pat (John) Ship.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Mooney; son, Tony (Tracie) Mooney; grandchildren, Justin Yarbrough and Colton Yarbrough; sisters, Viola (Larry) Harrah and Violet (L.D.) Grisset; brother, David Mooney; special nephew, Lee Thomas; and a host of family and friends.
