Mrs. Gayla “Gail” Ann Smith Price, 78, of Arley, passed away on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at her residence.
Freeman-Hood Funeral Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Price is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Price; father Elton Smith; mother Mozelle Watts; and brothers Dolphus “Doc” Smith, Nolen Smith, Dennis Watts, and Ray Watts.
She is survived by her daughters Vickie Hendon (George), Melissa Vaughn, and Christi O’Rear (Chris); son, Steve Price (Denise); sister Charlene Elliott (Billy); grandchildren Bridgette Thompson (Douglas), Matthew Price (Taylor), Samantha Price (Chance Sampson), and Sydney Lynn O’Rear; great-grandchildren Kalandra Thompson, Destiny Thompson, Briley Denson, Breonna Denson, Trey Thompson, Alexis Thompson, Lane Price, and Lexi Price; brothers-in-law Don Price, Paris Lambdin, and Amos Price; sisters-in-law Rosemary Price, Avelyn Smith, Roma Kirkland, and Alice Akins (Julius); and a host of nieces, nephews, and church family and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Smith School House Arley Congregational with funeral services to follow on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Robert Partridge and Bobby Smith will officiate.
