CULLAMN, Ala. – A Morgan County woman with pending criminal issues with a local business was served warrants on Sunday, Oct. 8, sparking a two-county car chase.

Vivian Draper, 64, of Danville, was approached by Cullman County Sheriff’s Office deputies in the Good Hope community on Sunday, due to active warrants against her.

Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry said Draper tried to flee the scene, resulting in her vehicle colliding with a CCSO investigator’s car and narrowly missing pedestrians.

Draper led investigators on a chase from Cullman County into Morgan County. She was eventually stopped by multiple law enforcement vehicles near her Danville home.

She was arrested and booked into the Cullman County Detention Center on charges of criminal mischief and attempting to elude a police officer, as well as two counts of unlawful entry/remaining on premises.

“I would like to thank all local law enforcement departments and agencies who assisted in making the arrest,” said Gentry.
