CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. – Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies on Oct. 3, 2023, made two separate, unrelated arrests in Holly Pond and Vinemont, addressing a variety of charges ranging from drug trafficking to burglary.
According to CCSO Lt. Chad Whaley, in the first incident, deputies arrived at a residence in Holly Pond intending to serve a warrant. Upon arrival, they found Natasha Leann Myslinski, a 45-year-old resident of the area. While at the residence, the deputies noticed various narcotics and paraphernalia in plain view, leading to Myslinski’s arrest, stated Whaley.
Myslinski is currently detained at the Cullman County Detention Center, with a secured bond set at $500,000. She faces multiple charges, including trafficking in methamphetamine (approximately 33 grams), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana. Additionally, she was served with warrants for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs, drug trafficking, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of an opium derivative.
In a separate incident on the same day, Whaley said CCSO deputies responded to a reported burglary and subsequent gunfire in the Vinemont area. When deputies arrived on the scene, they encountered the homeowners outside the residence; they reported an unknown female had broken into their home. According to the homeowners, the intruder seemed confused and disoriented.
Attempting to assist, the homeowners allowed the woman to stay inside while they sought help, according to Whaley. However, the woman found and discharged a firearm, owned by the victims, within the residence, prompting them to exit and call 911.
Deputies entered the home and apprehended Mary Elizabeth Klosinski, 34, of Vinemont, without further incident. The officers recovered the weapon involved. Klosinski is currently held at the Cullman County Detention Center with a total cash bond amount of $71,300. She has been charged with burglary, reckless endangerment and menacing, along with warrants for failure to appear in court related to previous domestic violence and disorderly conduct charges.
Whaley stated that these separate incidents underscore the CCSO’s continuous efforts to maintain public safety and respond effectively to criminal activities within the county. The two arrests reflect the diversity and complexity of challenges faced by law enforcement on a daily basis, emphasizing the importance of community support and cooperation in fostering a secure and lawful environment for all residents.
