Funeral service for Bobby Reece Evans, age 80, of Cullman, will be at 12 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Delbert Freeman officiating; interment in First Baptist Church of Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. prior to the service.

Mr. Evans passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, at the Folsom Center. He was born Feb. 19, 1943, in Fairview, Alabama, to Edgar Reece Evans and Ruby Pearl Windsor Evans.
He graduated from Fairview High School in 1962 and served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965. He retired from American Trim (formerly known as Cullman Products) after 40+ years.
He was known affectionately by locals as “Uncle Bob” or as the cute little old man with a cane who walked a German Shepherd on the east side of Cullman. He loved dogs, reading, keeping up with and talking politics, and telling stories and jokes. He was a kind and generous man who always had a smile for everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William W. Evans and Jimmy L. Evans; and sister, Joyce Evans Clark.
Survivors include his brother-in-law, Garry Clark; nieces, Leanne (Keith) West and Rhonda Harden; grandnieces, Kristyn Pair and Lauren (Curt) Borden; grandnephews, Eli (Cassie) West, Chet (AnnaLee) West, and Nolan (Ashleigh) West; a host of great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, cousins, and friends; and his beloved dog and faithful companion, Susie.
