Samuel Theo Porter, 87, of Haleyville, passed away Sunday, Sep. 24, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 19, 1936, in Haleyville, Alabama.
Samuel is survived by his wife, Margaret Porter; daughter, Sheila Porter; step-daughters, Beth (Michael) Reeks and Pam Buchanan; grandsons, Lee Mobley, Jon (Kari) Heath, Mikee Heath, and Joshua Mobley; great-grandchildren, Hayden (Kim) Mobley, Gabriella Mobley, Emma Heath, Ruby Heath, and Alyssa Mobley; sisters, Margaret Oliver, and Alene Gray; sister-in-law, Della Frost; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Carson Porter; daughter, Teresa Porter; parents, Emit Preston and Ida Elizabeth Porter; brother, John Porter; and sisters, Buna Mae Gravitt and Eather Dover.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
