James “Jim” Ray Mechaw, age 90, of Cullman, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, Sep. 15, 2023 at MMCS in Boaz, AL.
He was born in Lacon, AL. James is a member of St. John’s Evangelical Christian Church in Cullman.
Jim is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Hall Mechaw’; and a host of nieces, nephews, business associates and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents: Myrtice Hart Mechaw and Commodore Johnnie Mechaw; and siblings: Ruby Harris, C.J. Mechaw, Herman Mechaw, Pete Mechaw, Billy Mechaw, Guy Mechaw, and Frankie Mechaw.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, Sep. 23, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bell’s Springs Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday evening, Sep. 22, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home.
