Gatecrasher arrested after collision at manufacturing plant

CULLMAN, Ala. – A man was arrested Thursday evening after crashing through a gate at Yutaka Technologies, causing $19,000 in damage but no injuries.

Ryan Mullen, 44, of Winchester, Indiana, crashed his tractor-trailer at the manufacturing plant shortly before 8 p.m., according to the Cullman Police Department.

“The call about the incident was received at 7:40 p.m.”, said CPD Communications Director Adam Clark.

“Apparently, he was already disgruntled. He was in a tractor trailer and was getting agrivated because they were taking too long to open the gate. He backed and rammed through the gate,” Clark stated.

Clark stated officers followed a trail of damage for about 5.7 miles along Hwy. 157 toward I-65. Mullen was eventually stopped near Buenavista Mexican Cantina on Hwy. 157 by local law enforcement.

Mullen’s was driving a Freightliner and was driving for TJ Express Service LLC out of Dunkirk, Indiana. According to Clark, Mullen is charged with Criminal Mischief 1st which is a felony
