Margaret Lorene Alvis Brown, 73, of Cullman, passed away on Monday, Sep. 11, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cullman, Alabama on Aug. 27, 1950.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Johnny W. Brown; daughter, Tammy (Paul) Herrick; son, Jon Brown; sister, Betty Freeman; grandchildren, Michelle Herrick, William Herrick, Jazmyn Brown and Ava Brown; great-grandchildren, Abel Herrick and Atticus Willingham and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Virgil Alvis and Alla Bea Burks Alvis; and siblings, Jack Alvis, Leon Alvis, Charlie Alvis, Larry Joe Alvis, Jimmy Alvis, Carolyn Alvis and Tim Alvis.
The funeral service will be on Friday, Sep. 15, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home; burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home.
