Graveside Service for Jack Walker, age 87, of Baileyton, will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sep. 14, 2023, at Bailetyon Cemetery with Deborah Moon officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sep. 14, 2023, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Walker passed away on Sunday, Sep. 10, 2023, at Cullman Regional. He was born March 5, 1936, Bill Walker and Lizzie Mae Walker.
Jack was a heavy equipment operator his whole life. He loved helping the community and the people. He built the Baileyton Drag Strip in 1966 and was owner and operator till 2021. He wanted to thank all his racers, fans and supporters for all the devotion that was given for all the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharron Walker; brothers, Hayes “Button” Walker, Ralph Walker, and Cee Buck Walker.
Survivors include his daughter, Lou Ann (Vance) Easterwood; grandson, Russ (Sasha) Easterwood; great-grandchildren, Noah Easterwood and Holden Easterwood; chosen granddaughter, Briley Whitehead; brothers, Harry (Mary) Walker and Robert “Hop” (Carolyn) Walker; caregivers, Charlie (Mary) Whitehead, Terry England, and Phillip (Diane) Whitehead; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends; and beloved cat, Baby.
Pallbearers are Marty Hall, Billy Daniels, James Cullidge, Brian Walker, Gre Hinds, Phillip Whitehead, Randall Whisenant, Bobby Young.
