Zena Glass Harris, age 33, of Jasper, formerly of Haleyville, passed away Friday, Sep. 1, 2023 at University Hospital in Birmingham.
She was born June 15, 1990 to Jon and Tracy Glass. Zena served as a jailer for the Walker County Sheriff’s Office. Zena was a member of Manchester Independent Church of God. She was a member of the order of the Confederate Rose. Zena was a 2009 graduate of Haleyville High School and was a member of the “Roaring Lions” Band.
Zena is survived by her husband, Anthony Harris; children, Emmett Eaton, Zachary Barnes, Nicholas Barnes, and Rachel Harris; parents, Tracy (Rickey) Wallace, Jon (Rhonda) Glass, and Terry (Shane) Davis; siblings, Nena Sha (Fernando) Woods, Jessica (Whopper) Loggins, Cassie Holder, Aaron (Danielle) Holder, Erin Scott, Bosha Wallace, Tim (Bridgette) Wallace, Carrie Glass, and Gail Hood; in-laws, George and Ruby Barnes; and brother-in-law, Dewayne Harris; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roger Hood, Linda Glass, and Leroy and Pearl McBryde; stepfather, Dwight Kirkpatrick; father in law, Earnie Harris; sister in law, Marsha; great-grandparents, Maudie Hood, Mamie and Arnold Bridges, Julia and John Glass; step-grandparents, Margaret and William Wallace; and her sweet angel baby.
