Glenn Karstaedt, 59, of Cullman, Alabama, joined the eternal celebration in Heaven Aug. 30, 2023.
Glenn was born on May 10, 1964, to Ralph and Delores (Perl) Karstaedt in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Glenn graduated from Kiel High School in 1983. He enjoyed woodworking, metals, and electronics classes.
In 1994, Glenn swept Frances off her feet while country line dancing. They married in 1996, and recently celebrated their 27th anniversary.
Glenn worked at Brose where he received an award for employee of the month and for his inventions. He had a strong work ethic and seemed happiest when he was working with his hands. He also enjoyed music and sound engineering. He had a wonderful band family from Wisconsin, “Whosoever Believes”. He enjoyed mixing sound during jam sessions and at various nursing homes across Wisconsin and Alabama. He was a member of Daystar Church where he served on the greeting team and attended Iron Men small group. Glenn never met a stranger, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog, Jo “Dingo”, and his grand-dogs Hunter, Henry, and Ellie. He was a kind and gentle soul.
Glenn was predeceased by his parents, brother, Jeff, and sister, Lori Lynn.
He is survived by his wife, Frances, children, Andrew Karstaedt of Memphis, Alissa (Everett) Mallory of Olive Branch, Daniel of Cullman, and Norma Schoonhoven of Cullman. He is also survived by his siblings, Debbie (Bruce) Dittmer, Todd Karstaedt, Marybeth Nachtwey (Special friend Dan Preissner), Kim (Steven) Rolkosky. He will live on through the legacy of his grandchildren, Lakia Karstaedt and Javien Karstaedt. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Services will be held at Daystar Church, 200 Daystar Drive Cullman, Alabama on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Public visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a service following visitation.
