Helen Rita Taylor, 87, of Nauvoo, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023 at her residence.
She was born Aug. 7, 1936, in Rhode Island.
A visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 28, 2023 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will follow at 1 p.m. O’Neal Taylor will Officiate. Burial will follow at Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Nancy Sampson; son, Joe Taylor; granddaughters, Brenda Sampson, Erin Sampson, Amy Whales, Brandy Whales, Danielle Whales, Lauren Ria Taylor, Jennifer Espeseth, and Breanna Mattison. Grandsons, Ernie Sampson, Carl Whales, and Alex Mattison; and a host of great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Regina and Roy Gear; brother, Teddy Fontaine; sister, Sylvia Breoulette; daughters, Helen Brophy and Linda Mattison; and granddaughter, Aidrianna Malin Taylor.
