Michelle Leigh Wade Dean, of Holly Pond, Alabama, met Jesus face to face on Friday morning, Aug. 18, 2023, at the age of 46. Michelle was born in Jefferson County, Alabama, on Aug. 10, 1977, to Kevin Howard and Jackie Denise Chandler Wade.

Michelle had seasons of walking in her calling, seasons of joy, and seasons of struggle. She loved her children, and grandchildren, with all her heart. She loved her parents and sister with everything in her being. She loved so many others and she was loved. Michelle confessed Jesus and she loved Him, and we know she is in Heaven with Him. She is finally truly free and has her crown of beauty, the oil of gladness, and her garment of praise. (Isaiah 61:3b) Michelle is now living out what she was born to do, worshipping the Savior, lifting her beautiful voice in praise to Him. While Michelle was weak in the flesh, she was very strong in the Spirit. Her tug of war is now over. Her battle is won. She is now resting in the arms of the Father. To God be the Glory!

Michelle was greeted in Heaven by her grandparents, Howard Wade, Joseph David “Jinx” and Drucilla “Dru” Chandler; brother-in-law, Nathan Johnson; and her uncle, David Wade.

She is grieved here on earth by her parents, Kevin and Jackie Wade; husband, Michael Dean; children, Chandler Luke Wisener and Kaitlyn, Jaxon Olinger, RaeLeigh Olinger, Ava Olinger, Anna Olinger, Gracie Dean; grandchildren, Emery Tate Wisener, and soon to be born Baylor Ruth Olinger; sister and brother-in-law, Meredith and Matthew Wade Greene; grandmother, Norma Wade; uncles, Dr. Larry Wade and Brenda, Henry Chandler and Rita, John Chandler and Kris; nieces and nephews, Abi Johnson, Emma Greene, Jackson Greene; her beloved cousins; and a host of extended family and friends.

Michelle’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023, at Liberty Church in Arab, Alabama. A time of visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., with Pastor Keith Hodges and Pastor Rick Laster officiating. A committal service will follow in Holly Pond Cemetery where Allen Cone, Casey White, Glenn Webb, Josh Ballew, Shane “Bubba” Burns, and Thomas “Tommy” Moore will serve as pallbearers for Michelle.

Michelle loved the beauty of flowers, but if you would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holly Pond Funeral Home. All donations will be applied to Michelle’s funeral expenses.

Michelle’s obituary was lovingly written by her mother.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the Wade and Dean families.
