Marilyn Theresa Malloy, our loving mother, grandmother, friend and partner passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023 at her home in Houston, Alabama. Born in Texas on Nov. 6, 1962, she was 60 years old.
Marilyn loved her family dearly and had a special bond with each of her loved ones. She loved cooking for her family, shopping, and spending time with her dogs, Cain and Bo. She always had a special gift for conversation, sharing a funny story or joke. You always felt her friendship and kindness in her presence. She will be missed greatly.
She served as information specialist for 15 years at Bankhead Forest Service in Double Springs, Alabama making many friendships and memories with her co-workers.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 18, 2023 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, Alabama to celebrate the life shared with Marilyn and her loved ones. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Houston Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Steton Hayes will officiate.
Marilyn is survived by her spouse, Earl Racer; daughter, Felicia Woodard and husband Chann; son, Seth Urfer and wife Kaitlyn; grandchildren, Ethan and Owen Woodard, Ellie and Elijah Urfer; and her beloved dogs, Cain and Bo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Virginia Parkerson.
