Jerry Laverne Lay, 84, of Cullman, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023 at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab. She was born Jan. 14, 1939.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas G. Harris and Mildred Hancock Harris; husband, James Alvin Lay; daughter, Cynthia Parris Hanners; sons, Jerry Marlon Parris and Ronald Douglas Parris; sister, Brenda Harris Pugh and brothers, J.C. Harris and Lawrence Harris.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Parris Costantini and her husband, Vince; granddaughters, Brandy Chambers, Stacy Turner, Chelsea Parris and Bristol Hagerman and her husband, Mike; great-grandchildren, Miles, Sadie, Charleigh and Ella and son-in-law, Carlton Hanners.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
