CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman City School Board on Tuesday, Aug. 15, unveiled plans for a new intermediate school, pre-K school and athletic upgrades. (See the full story on these plans at www.cullmantribune.com/2023/08/15/new-era-for-cullman-city-schools) The board also accepted a $3,000 donation from the Cullman Fraternal Order of Police.
Cullman City Schools Superintendent Kyle Kallhoff said he is excited about the new additions and improvements to the school system. “This board has a vision to move forward,” he stated. “The city leaders are doing a lot in this city to bring a lot of extra revenue which equates to sales tax and property tax for us. We are putting those two together and we able to put those dollars right back into our students”
The board also approved the following agenda items:
- Contract with Lathan Architects and Associates for Cullman Intermediate School
- Contract with Lathan Architects and Associates for CHS Addition
- Contract with McKee & Associates Inc for Soccer Field Turf
- Stipend for CPI Training on June 20, 2023 for Abigail Bennett
- Stipend for Medication Training on July 25, 2023 if not used as a flex day
- Stipend for attending 1/2 day BIP Training on July 26, 2023 for Lauren Shelton, Madison Crenshaw, Alisha Eaton, Jana Grimes, Brent Hill, and Kristy Liverett
- Stipend for Medication Training on June 20, 2023 if not used as a flex day
- Stipend for 1/2 day Medication Training Recertification on June 21, 2023 if not used as a flex day
- Stipend for 1/2 day Medication Training Recertification on July 26, 2023 if not used as a flex day
- Stipend for teachers attending CPI Training on July 27, 2023
- Stipend for attending ALACTE Summer Conference for Tara Richard
- Stipend for CTE Summer Professional Development-Dual Enrollment Intro with WSCC, Pacing Guides, & Planning for Ben Heatherly
