Obituary: Tressie Dean Glenn-Wright

Tressie Dean Glenn-Wright, 88, of Hanceville, Alabama passed away from her earthly home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Hanceville Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center. She was comforted and surrounded by her loving family throughout her transition. Mrs. Wright was born on Thursday, March 14, 1935 in Cullman County, Alabama to the late Robert Glenn and Bannie Tankersley-Glenn.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Hanceville Funeral Home at 12 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2023. The burial will take place at Duck River Cemetery. Reverends Jimmy Sawyer, Philip Wigley, and Lloyd Harris will be officiating. Visitation for the public will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday prior to the funeral at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her loving memory are her two children, Sandra (Benny) Wright-Blackwood and Debra Phillips; grandchildren, April (Jason) Blackwood-May, Summer (Clint) Blackwood-Burden, Morgan (Adam) Blackwood-Burnett, Chad Heath Milligan, and Greg Lynn (Candy) Milligan; great grandchildren, Christopher (Emaleigh) Quick, Erika (Cody) Hunter, Branson Norris, Mikah (Dakota Hurst) Hudson, Anna Hudson, Adalynn Burden, Sadie Burden, Lawson Burnett, Ledger Burnett, Jillian Brooke Milligan, Bryanna Jade Milligan, Madison Lee Milligan, Annie Elizabeth Milligan, and Collin Gregory Milligan; great-great grandchildren, Kenlee Bradford, Cru Green, Colton Hunter, Easton Hurst, Baby Odin Hunter, Josephine Quick, Ezmay Jade Bolden, Rowyn James Bolden, and Matthew Armani Najmeh; sisters, Eva Phillips and Patricia Abercrombie; and a host of many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her grandson, Kit Blackwood; brothers, Roy Glenn and Rayford Glenn; and sisters, Ruth Burrow, Veranlee Segars, Obera McKenney, Omie Harris, Wilodean Young, and Ola-Jean Wright.

Serving as pallbearers will be Collin Milligan, Chris Quick, Branson Norris, Cody Hunter, Dakota Hurst, and Ethan Abercrombie.
