CULLMAN, Ala. – While Rock the South brings in millions in revenue annually, it has never lost sight of its original cause: gathering the community together to give back. Since its inception in 2012, Rock the South has given back almost $1 million to organizations and nonprofits local to Cullman and north Alabama. This year is no outlier, with nearly $70,000 being doled out for a variety of causes.

Said one of the dozen beneficiaries, Summer Burden of Sisters United Recovery, “We are so blessed and thankful for the donation we received from Rock the South. It will not only help the women we are serving now, but it will help the many women we will serve in the future at Sisters United!”

“This is why we do it,” said the Rock the South team in a statement on Facebook Saturday evening. “We started Rock the South to bring our community together after a devastating tornado, and we never stopped caring about this community we love. We are honored that Rock the South can be a part of supporting so many incredible charities and organizations that are making our community – and the world – a better place.”
