CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. – A Nauvoo man was killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:11 a.m. Sunday, July 16. Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as John A. Mills, 60.
Troopers said Mills was fatally injured when the 2005 Nissan Altima he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Troopers said Mills was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 69 near the 223 mile marker, approximately 13 miles southwest of Dodge City, in Cullman County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
