CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Republican Women (CCRW) on Tuesday, July 11, hosted the group’s annual cookout with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). Members of the CCRW, along with Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry and members of his staff, served food at the CCSO training facility.
Also in attendance were Cullman County Commission Chairman Jeff Clemons, Cullman County Commissioner Kelly Duke and Cullman County Attorney Emily Johnston.
“It’s a great event; look at it this, it’s packed,” Clemons said while looking over the crowd. “We thank the lady Republicans for putting on this event and the sheriff for allowing it to be here in his building.”
Said Johnston, “I’m glad we are able to gather and have fellowship over food and have a good evening with each other.”
According to CCRW President Charlotte Campbell-Covert the cookout was about getting members together for food and games, without discussing politics. The games focused on teambuilding and getting to know the other members.
