CULLMAN, Ala. – It was the perfect day for an intimate block party at The Villas at Cloverdale on Friday, July 7. The Link of Cullman, which works closely with the The Villas through its own housing and rental assistance programs, was happy to host Chat & Chew at the main office as a fun treat for residents.

The summer sun was thick as residents munched on a classic lunch of hot dogs, chips and cold drinks while learning more about all the programs The Link has to offer. Employees at The Link are no strangers to their neighbors at The Villas, with Housing Case Manager Jonathan Creekmore sharing that a recent partnership to host financial classes made them even more motivated to give back to their clients.

“We’re happy to provide food and fun for our neighbors, and to continue caring through financial classes at Cloverdale!” smiled Creekmore.

Chat & Chew Owners Cherrie Verhoff and Leann Boatright said this isn’t the first time they’ve partnered with The Link, and it certainly won’t be the last.

“You know, anything we can do to help the community,” said Boatright, with Verhoff confirming, “Anytime we can get involved with giving back to the community, we love that. We’ll be doing the August community meal also!”
